Mission Statement
The purpose of the Worship Ministry is to lead
the body of Christ in seeking God's awesome presence, for our worship flows from
God's mercy and grace shown to us through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. Using God's Word as our
guide, we will draw closer to Him and one another through a variety of
expressions in worship.
A note about our style of music
Music is a powerful force in our lives.
It has the ability the touch us in ways that nothing else can. God
has given us the gift of music to express our love for Him and to
celebrate the wonderful gift of salvation He has given us.
Our goal is to help
lead each person into the throne room of Almighty God. This is an
incredible responsibility that is actually impossible for mankind to
fulfill. This can only be achieved by the anointing and the presence
of the Holy Spirit of God upon us. We
recognize
that different people prefer different styles of music. We have
adapted our style of music in accordance with each of our Sunday services:
7:30 a.m. - This is an intimate setting
where we sing traditional songs of faith from the hymnal, along with a
piano. Many appreciate the "small church" feel of this
service.
9:00 & 10:30 a.m. - These identical services
best express the "celebrative" feel of our worship. These
gatherings are held in our main sanctuary, where you can join with
hundreds of other believers in a time of upbeat praise and worship. Almost
every Sunday we use a full band, including piano, organ/keyboard, guitars,
drums, bass, horns and vocal team. Because most people attend one of these
services, we try to appeal to a broad range of musical tastes by using both
traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs.
