Since Jesus died for all, the payment has been made for
all. That means that everyone can go to heaven, right? Yes they could, but
not all will. Because they will not accept this free gift of love from
God.
So what do we need to do in order to be restored to God
and live in the way God created us?

You must accept what God has done for you through Jesus.
How do I do that?
Trust (believe) in what Jesus did. Placing your
trust and faith in Jesus is the key to having a relationship with God.

Jesus died for all. The payment has been made for all
people. But the only way to have it credited to our personal account is to
trust or believe that Jesus really did die for me and has made it possible
for me to have a loving relationship with God. This is a complete trust in
what Jesus did. It is placing your faith in Jesus being the bridge to get
you to God.
"For it is by grace (free gift) you have been
saved, through faith -- and this not from yourselves. It is the gift of
God -- not by works, so that no one can boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9 -
NIV).
"Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be
saved" (Acts 16:31).
This trust or belief begins in the mind. You are making
a decision to believe and trust in what God has done. When you truly trust
in what Jesus did on the cross (making it possible for you to be with
God), you will naturally respond to God in the following ways.
